Child safety standards
Scout is made by Komodo AI LLC. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
What is never allowed
- Any content that sexualizes a minor, including images, video, audio, text or links.
- Grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to contact a child for sexual purposes.
- Sharing, requesting or promoting child sexual abuse material in any form.
How Scout protects children
- Children under 13 cannot have accounts.
- Scout is invite-only. There are no public profiles and no search for strangers.
- Our content guardrails block sexual content involving minors.
Reporting
Anyone can report content from inside the app: tap the ••• menu on it, choose Report, then A child's safety. Reports go only to Scout support; nobody is told who reported. The same menu hides everything from that person.
You can also email hello@simplescout.app.
What we do with reports
- We review child safety reports first, within 24 hours.
- We remove violating content, suspend the accounts involved and preserve evidence as the law requires.
- We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement.
Contact
Our child safety point of contact is Ryan Oberoi, Komodo AI LLC, at hello@simplescout.app.
